We are happy to share that our paper “Provenance Support for Containerized Workflow Analyses in High-Performance Computing Environments” has been published in the Journal of Information and Data Management (JIDM)! 🎉

This work is the result of Liliane Kunstmann’s PhD thesis and an extended version of our Best Paper from the Brazilian Symposium on Databases 2024.

In this paper, we address key challenges in deploying scientific workflows in HPC environments by proposing a container-aware provenance approach.

Our model connects workflow execution with container metadata, improving traceability, reproducibility, and analysis across heterogeneous infrastructures.

We also present ProvDeploy, a framework that enables deeper insights into containerized workflow executions, supporting reproducibility and better decision-making in complex scientific experiments.
